Areas Of Interest Classes/Clubs

You are invited to attend any of the following regularly scheduled programs that meet your interest.  Class/meeting times are noted in the program descriptions.

Art Class

Mondays     1:00PM

Instruction from Pat Wilson-Schmid is available in all media.  Bring your materials; easels are available.    $2.00 class fee.

Billiards

Available anytime room is not in use for a program.

BINGO for Bucks

Bingo for Bucks is now held every Monday afternoon, from 1:15 PM until 3:15 PM (except if there is a special program on tap).  Cost is $1.00/card (2 games/card).  

Book Club

Second Thursday of the month      9:30AM
Feed your Brain.  Join the book club.  Call Encore Experiences to find out the book title if you are new to the group.

Cards

Anytime; most groups meet on Thursdays at 12:30PM.  Anyone who is interested in playing Bridge/Pinochle, please come to the office and give us your name and we will try to put a group together.

Clip and Save

Every Monday     10:00AM

Are you a coupon clipper?  Join this group for those who are frugal and fabulous!  Cut coupons for yourself, the Military, or swap them.  Bring your coupons and scissors.

Coin Club

Do you have some old coins you'd like to know the value of or want to get the latest in the series of State Quarters?  Coin Club is the place to be.  Stop by the 2nd Thursday of each month, at 2:00 PM.  Who doesn't love to talk about money?

Computer Use

Use our computers in the library to create letters, documents or spreadsheets or spend time e-mailing the grandkids on the Internet. 

Croquet and Shuffleboard

Anytime, weather permitting

Across the street in the park.  Equipment is available at Encore Experiences.  All you have to do is show up!

Little Studies

Third Friday of the month      2:00PM
Join a discussion group with Mark Hoffman using the series of pamphlets that he wrote called “Little Studies”.  No particular point of view will be advocated.   Call Encore Experiences to find out current topic.  

Scrapbooking

First Wednesday of the month   12:30PM

Would you like to join in the craze but don't know where to begin?  Learn the basic techniques to get started.    
 

Sew and Chat

Every Thursday    9:30AM
Join others who enjoy quilting, knitting, crocheting, or other needle work, and meet for friendship and fun.  Instruction will be available from Rosetta Troutman and Naomi Griffiths.

Group Trivia

Every Tuesday     10:00AM

This group is for anyone who loves answering or learning about trivia.  There are two teams and six categories to choose from.  If you don’t know an answer your teammates may help out.   Join us for a grand time.

Woodcarving

This class meets every Thursday at 9:30 AM and is open to anyone who enjoys working with wood or who would like to give it a try.  Instruction is available. Donations accepted for materials as needed.
